Twisted

Alright, if you like dark fairytale retellings but still want something that feels a little more emotional and layered, Twisted might be your favorite. It’s dark, yes, but it’s also sneaky emotional in ways I wasn’t fully prepared for.

The MMC is complicated in that morally gray, makes-bad-decisions-for-the-right-reasons kind of way. He’s not a straight up villain like some of the others, but he’s definitely not a hero either. And that inner conflict is really what drives the story. You can feel him fighting himself the entire time.

What I loved is how the romance builds. It’s not instant obsession. There’s tension, hesitation, and a lot of emotional push and pull. You’re constantly questioning motives, wondering who’s being honest, and waiting for things to blow up.

If you want a dark retelling that still gives you angst, depth, and a romance that actually develops instead of exploding right away, Twisted is a great pick. It’s one of those books that makes you stop and think, not just binge and forget.
