A Court of Frost and Starlight
A Court of Frost and Starlight is basically a little pause button for the series. There’s not a ton of plot happening, and if you go in expecting big action, you’ll probably be disappointed. But if you think of it as a cozy breather, it works really well.
I liked getting to just sit with the characters and see how they’re dealing with everything after the chaos. It’s quieter, more emotional, and focused on healing and relationships instead of battles. Nothing is magically fixed, and I appreciated that. It feels realistic in that way.
This book is more about vibes than movement. Snowy scenes, small moments, and emotional check ins. It’s not essential for the plot, but it adds depth and makes the world and the relationships feel more lived in. A nice reset before things pick back up.
