Don't Let Him In
Don’t Let Him In was good and definitely had that slow, creepy Lisa Jewell vibe I usually enjoy. The tension builds quietly and I liked how uncomfortable it made me as things slowly started to feel off. It does a great job showing how manipulation can sneak up on you, which felt very realistic.
That said, the ending didn’t fully land for me. After all that buildup, I was expecting something a little stronger or more shocking, and it just felt kind of underwhelming in comparison. Not bad, just not as impactful as I hoped.
Overall, I still think it’s a solid thriller and worth the read for the atmosphere alone. I just wish the ending had matched how good the rest of the story was.
