She's Not Sorry
This book really had me at first. The tension builds slowly and I was genuinely uncomfortable in a good way, constantly second guessing everyone and waiting for something to drop. The emotional unease works, and for most of the book I felt pretty locked in.
But once the big reveal hit, it kind of lost me. Everything before that felt carefully built, and then suddenly it just didn’t land the way I expected. Instead of feeling chilling, it felt more like oh… that’s it? The emotional weight that had been carrying the story started to fall off for me toward the end.
It’s not a bad book by any means. The buildup is strong and the atmosphere is solid, but the payoff didn’t fully match the tension that came before it. I still enjoyed the ride, I just wish the ending had hit as hard as the rest of the story did.
