The first book pulls you in with vibes more than plot. It’s moody, angsty, and very much about that intense first love feeling where everything feels dramatic and life or death. Bella is awkward, Edward is mysterious and broody, and the obsession level is high. You either roll your eyes… or you’re completely in. I was in.

As the series goes on, it leans hard into love triangles, loyalty, and the idea of choosing who you belong to. Eclipse is peak drama. Everyone is emotional, making questionable choices, and feelings are running the show. It’s messy, but in a way that’s kind of fun to read.

Breaking Dawn is where things get wild. Like genuinely unhinged plot choices. Some people love it, some people hate it, and most people have very strong opinions. I remember reading it thinking, “Wait… did that really just happen?” But it does wrap everything up and gives you closure, even if the journey there is chaotic.

What makes Twilight special isn’t the writing or the world building, it’s the feeling. It’s about first love, obsession, belonging, and that all consuming intensity you feel when you’re young and everything feels huge. It’s dramatic, emotional, and very of its time.

If you like slow burns, angsty romance, supernatural drama, and books that make you feel nostalgic even while you’re reading them, Twilight is worth trying. Just don’t go in expecting perfection. Go in expecting vibes, feelings, and a series you’ll probably think about way longer than you expect.
