The Housemaid is one of those books that’s dangerously easy to binge. I started it thinking I’d read a few chapters and suddenly I was halfway through wondering how that happened. The pacing moves fast and never really lets up, which made it hard to stop reading.

The dynamic between the characters is super uncomfortable in a way that works. You can tell something isn’t right from the start, but you don’t know exactly what, and that tension just keeps building. Every time I thought I had it figured out, the story flipped things around.
The twists were fun and satisfying, and by the end I felt entertained and glad I stuck with it. It’s not trying to be subtle or deep, it’s just a really addictive thriller that keeps you hooked. Perfect if you want something twisty and fast that pulls you out of a reading slump.
