A Court of Thorns and Roses
So yes… I finally read A Court of Thorns and Roses ten years after it debuted, and I would like to formally apologize to everyone who told me to read it sooner. I was pleasantly surprised and immediately hooked. Once I stepped into this world, there was no casually dipping a toe. I was fully submerged.
The story starts a little slow, not gonna lie, but once the second half hits? Oh, the stakes SKYROCKET. Suddenly everything matters, everyone’s dangerous, and I was locked in like, “Okay fine, I live here now.”
I absolutely loved the world-building and the lore of Prythian and the High Fae. It’s rich, immersive, and the kind of setting you get completely lost in. And Feyre? Surprisingly formidable. Her strength and sheer will gave the story an extra spark and had me rooting for her hard.
It felt like so many storylines were being forged at once, which made me want to stick around and get to know every character better. By the end, I genuinely didn’t want the book to be over, but thankfully, there’s an entire series waiting for me, and I am very ready to continue this journey.
