Brimstone is intense from start to finish. There’s no easing into it and no sugarcoating anything. The characters make hard choices and the story doesn’t try to make them more palatable, which I actually appreciated.
The emotional tension is heavy and the relationship is messy, volatile, and not meant to feel safe. It’s the kind of romance where you’re constantly on edge, but that’s what makes it work. The stakes stay high the whole time, and you can feel that pressure in every interaction.

This isn’t a comfort read by any means, but it sticks with you. If you like dark romance that fully commits to the chaos and doesn’t try to soften the edges, Brimstone definitely delivers.
