Intrigued by Danger
This was hands down my favorite book in the series. Everything from the first book gets deeper here. The emotions hit harder, the connection feels more intense, and the consequences actually matter. Nothing feels rushed. You can tell the author lets the fallout sit instead of glossing over it.
The romance is consuming and honestly uncomfortable at times, but that’s what made it so addictive. Once certain lines are crossed, it feels almost impossible for the characters to go back, and watching them struggle with that loss of control felt very real. The emotional dependency is messy, frustrating, and believable.
What I loved most is how honest this book is about how hard it is to reclaim yourself once you’ve given too much away. It’s dark, emotionally heavy, and completely pulled me in. If you’re reading this series for the emotional depth and not just the tension, this sequel delivers in the best way.
