Quicksilver
Quicksilver had me hooked almost immediately, but the audiobook is what really did me in. This story lives on tension, and hearing it instead of reading it made everything feel sharper, slower, and way more intense.
Let’s talk about Kingsher because wow. He is all control, restraint, and barely contained heat. And Anthony Palmini absolutely understood the assignment. His voice adds so much to Kingsher’s character. Calm, commanding, and dangerous in that quiet way that makes every line feel loaded. The spice hit harder because of the delivery alone. I was fully blushing during scenes that probably would have just been “hot” on the page.
What I loved most is how the romance builds through tension instead of softness. Feelings are there, but they stay simmering under the surface for so long that every interaction feels charged. Nothing is rushed. Nothing is easy. When things finally shift, it feels earned because you’ve been sitting in that tension the whole time.
This is dark romance that knows exactly when to hold back and when to push forward. The pacing is tight, the atmosphere is heavy, and the chemistry is razor sharp. Add Anthony Palmini’s narration to the mix and it becomes one of those audiobooks you cannot casually listen to.
If you like your romance spicy, controlled, and tension filled with a narrator who elevates every scene, Quicksilver on audio is absolutely worth it. Just don’t plan on multitasking while listening.
