The Silent Patient was good, but I think it was a little overhyped for me. I enjoyed the slow build and the quiet tension, and I stayed curious the whole time because I kept waiting for that big moment everyone talks about.

But when the twist finally came, it just didn’t hit the way I expected it to. It wasn’t bad, it just felt underwhelming after all the buildup. I think knowing how much hype surrounded it took some of the impact away for me.
Overall, it’s a solid psychological thriller and definitely a smooth, easy read. I can see why people love it, but for me it didn’t quite live up to the level of shock I was expecting.
