Verity
Verity is one of those books that makes you feel uncomfortable the entire time and somehow you keep reading anyway. There’s this constant creepy feeling like something is off, and it never really lets up. I didn’t feel relaxed at any point while reading it.
It’s not a typical Colleen Hoover romance at all. It leans way more into psychological thriller territory, with obsession, manipulation, and a lot of morally gray moments that make you question everyone’s motives. I kept changing my mind about what I believed and who I trusted.
By the end, I was conflicted. I wasn’t sure how I felt, but I knew I needed to talk about it with someone. It’s definitely a love it or hate it kind of book, but either way, it sticks with you. Even after finishing, I was still thinking about it and replaying parts in my head, which honestly says a lot.
